This year I decided to try a new project with my 8th graders. We will be emphasizing monochromatic painting and color mixing, so they will be choosing an image and I put it through a filter on Photoshop. Students then trace the image onto matte board and assign colors to a number and begin to paint! I like to think it is a glorified paint by number, and the result is pretty cool..I am trying out my example in blue and yellow also, to have a series. I will post the other two once they are finished and post students work once they are completed.
